UNA CASA TUTTA PER SÉ

The Festival is organized every year by the Casa delle Donne of Bologna, in conjunction with the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence promoted by the UN, which take place from November 25 to December 10.
The festival uses art, words, and public events to promote a culture of equality, raise awareness about violence against women, and highlight actions and pathways aimed at countering this phenomenon.
In 2023, for the 18th edition, the chosen theme was: A Home of One’s Own.
In any journey out of violence, it is essential for a woman to be able to regain—or have—a place where she can return with safety and independence, both for herself and for her children.
A home of one’s own: a home as refuge, as a place to live free from violence; a home to stay in and one to start over from; a home to cultivate culture and politics against violence. Today more than ever, it is crucial to reaffirm that the responsibility for gender-based violence concerns every one of us.
