VerdeOlmo is an agricultural and gastronomical re-evaluation project based in the Montone Valley in the Forlì Apennines created by Al Vecchio Convento1
The first step was to open a new bakery in Rocca San Casciano, in a historic bake shop in the town centre.
The aim of the project is to produce top quality food in the area, promoting sustainable supply chains to protect the environment and the local community.
The logo was created from the fusion of two visible elements found in elm trees.
The texture draws inspiration from a cross-section of the tree trunk and its rings.
The shape recalls the elm fruit: the samaras, a very mild fruit with a distinctive winged structure which uses the wind to disperse its seeds.
VerdeOlmo is an authentic, bold project; rare like the plant from which it takes its name. Although few survive today, they are however examples of resistance, always ready to disseminate their seeds into the air.
